Welcome to the Shire Intervention Science Lab at the University of Oregon.

Our team is focused on the development and testing of interventions in partnership with real world communities to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodevelopmental disorders, their families and the practitioners who support children’s learning and development.

We aim to:

Maximize the early development of children with ASD by building on strengths and supporting individual needs.

Further understand how best to help practitioners adopt and implement intervention strategies to serve children and their families in their home communities.

Contribute to scientific advances in early intervention and special education to continue to optimize outcomes for children and their families.

If you’d like to know more or get involved in the research done at the Shire Lab, we’d love to hear from you!
